Our core focus is complete client satisfaction, employee success and beautiful trees. When we started One Life Tree Service we wanted to see things through our clients eye's. Be the contractor we would want to hire. Also we wanted to see things through our employees eye's. Be the employer we always wanted. We are far from our goals but everything we have implemented in the last 10 years has been intentional to make One Life Tree Service a job our employees look forwards to coming to work. We give them our best and take care of them because tree work is extremely hard and skilled work. We are not perfect and are constantly trying to get better through feedback and communication. Sure our employees have the basics, 401k, health, dental, vision and life insurance, competitive pay and paid time off. But where we get to playout our dream in becoming the employer we always wanted are in the little perks. We wanted a place where our employees did not live to work, sure we have the volume to work 7 days a week, 80 hour work weeks but instead of working our employees to death in the name of profit we only work 4 days a week, 16 days a month. Every weekend is a 3 day weekend for them. Most skilled labor jobs you have to bring 1k-5k$ worth of tools with you to even work, we provide everything. It does not cost our employees a dime to work here. We provide all the climbing gear, clothing, saws, and provide unlimited boot allowance. The second a pair of boots are shot they get new ones. Unlimited Gatorade, water and coffee throughout the year. Paid training for continued education, Nebraska Arborists Association classes, CPR. We built and stocked a full gym for after hours work outs. We built a office/ hangout area for meetings, morning, stretches and coffee. We have our Core Value Championship every week the winner has a chance to win $20, $50, or $100 cash. Once a year we have an Employee Appreciation Day. Last couple years we all went skydiving or rented a pontoon with a huge lunch and drinks. Christmas parties and more. We are so incredibly blessed to have the employees we do and we plan on becoming better at this whole employment thing one step at a time.
